These are the tools that you will find on the tool bar that opens when you activate the navigation:
• Save navigation track: Click on
this button to give your track a name and decide where you want to store it.
• Create a waypoint here: Click on
this button to create a waypoint using your current coordinates.
• Seek for larger scaled maps: This
tool will look for a map where each pixel represents fewer meters; so the map
will be more detailed.
• Variable ring: When you select
this option, you will be asked to write the size of the radius of the ring that
will appear around your present position, and also the number of equidistant
rings.
• Fixed ring and parallel lines:
This tool will draw a ring around your present position (you will have to write
the radius you want to use) and it will also draw two lines running parallel to
your course. These two lines start from the circumference of the ring, so you
will be able to foresee how much space will be taken up by the fixed ring in
it’s future location.
NOTE: The fixed ring can, for example, symbolise your car. In this case you will have to introduce a radius of less than 1 m.
• View speed and acceleration
vectors: Three vectors will appear on the screen when you activate this
tool. The three vectors will indicate your speed, your tangential and normal
acceleration. The larger the vector the greater these values will be.
• Elastic GPS line-Pointer: When you
select this tool, a line will be drawn from your present position and the
position where you move the pointer.
• View turn radius: This tool will
show you a drawing of the circumference that you are currently following. This
circumference represents the course that you will follow if you continue with
the same turn radius.
• Centre map on present position:
When you click on this button the map will be re-situated so that your present
position will become the centre of it.
• Show more map on front: Your
position will not be in the center of the screen but you will have 80 % of the
map on front, so you can see a bigger part of zone you are going to.
• Centre map at 10% move: When you
activate this option your position will only move 10% away from the centre of
the screen because when that happen the map will automatically centre on your
present position.
• No automatic map movement:
Activate this option if you do not want the map to automatically follow your
movements.
• Position map according to course:
When you activate this option, the map will automatically move to follow your
course so the arrow will always point towards the top of the screen. This makes
it easier to follow the indications. It also means that the map will no longer
face north if you are not following a northern course.
•Head towards previous waypoint:
When following a route, click on this button to go to the waypoint positioned
before the one you were going to until then.
• Head towards next waypoint: When
following a route, click on this button to go to the waypoint positioned after
the one you were going to until then.
The following tools are not default values at ‘Navigation’ button bar, but they can be included using the Keys and button window of the ‘Configuration’ options:
• View Naviation window: This tools
allows you to activate and deactivate the data window situated at the foot of
the screen.
• Change leg: Click on this button
to end this leg of the track and start with a new leg.
• Eliminate last leg: This button
eliminates the last leg of the track.
• Create waypoint here–Questions:
The waypoint property window will open when you click on this button. The
details therein correspond to your current coordinates. To create the waypoint,
fill in the information you want.
• Increase colouring: To give the
track more colouring to make it more visible.
• Increase thickness: To make the
track’s line thicker.
• View bowline: A line will be
drawn, when you activate this option, to indicate your current course.
