15.3.2 Send a flight to ‘On-line Contest’

 

Land/Air lets you save a flight for ‘On-line Contest’, creating a track .IGC with an embedded route and an *.OLC file and sending it to the OLC website. To save a track in *.OLC format and send it to the ‘On-line Contest’ follow next steps:

 

1.   Load the flight which you want to send to *.OLC executing one of these operations:

 

     Click  ‘Open track’.

 

     Select the menu option ‘Tracks > Open track’.

 

2.   Right click in any point of the track. The context menu of the track will appear.

 

3.   Select ‘Optimization’. You will be asked for a name and location to save the optimizated track. It is important to preserve the original format of the file name.

 

4.   Press ‘Save’ and Land/Air will automatically make the necessary operations to include your track in ‘On-line Contest’.

 

 

5.   A window with statistic information about your flight will appear. Select the competition and route type. Then ‘Send to OLC server’.

 

6.   A new window with two labels will open: Flight and Pilot. In the first one you have to set a zone and a name to your flight. In the second, you should fill up all the fields with several informations about the pilot.

 

7.   In the lower part of the window you can directly ‘Send to OLC’ or ‘Save as…’ the IGC and OLC files in your computer to consult or send it later.

 

8.   When ‘Send to OLC’ Land/Air will connect to OLC web page. Follow the instructions from there.
