5.3   3D configuration

 

By clicking at ‘3D configuration’ the user will be able to apply changes to these options:

 

     General

 

     Land/Air allows you to customize the depth of the 3D quality of your maps from a list of different degrees.

 

     You can also set the maximum number of tiles to display.

 

     Altitude exaggeration can be changed by the user. In case map reliefs aren’t very divers by exaggerating the altitude you may intensify it.

 

     When using 3D maps, rendering mode can be modify by selecting a certain mode: map (texture), hypsometric surface, smooth surface, wire, wire + surface, or wire + map.

 

     If you want to apply shading to your maps, you just have to select this option.

 

     Certain field vision degree can be altered by the user.

 

     Depending on the user's taste, 'Foggy horizon' can be enabled or disabled.

 

     If you want Land/Air to search for landscape when starting 3D view, just select this option.

 

     When the height is under the sea level, 3D mode can also represent the situation by fixing the current value of the sea level (*.CDEM elevation map required). By default, the level of the sea is set at 0 meters.

 

     'Simulator' option allows you to customize the type of simulation you want to use with your maps. These are the configurable parameters:

 

     Sort of simulator

     Minimum distance to land

     Wind Speed

     Sensor Speed

 

     Another different type of simulator is 'Turn continuously 3D', this parameters can be configured:

 

     Horizontal rotation speed

     Vertical rotation speed

     Displacement speed

     Maximum distance

     Minimum distance
