This window shows you the different distances covered (not altitudes):
• Projected distance: This figure is the result of calculating the horizontal projection of the distance covered (without taking into account the distances covered due to ascending or descending).
• Distance with altitudes: This figure is the real distance covered. Ascents and descents are taken into account. The result is a figure slightly higher that the projected distance.
• Lineal distance: This is the straight-line distance between the departure and arrival points.
• Area: This figure is the result of calculating the area that you have covered in the excursion. If your arrival point is different from your departure point the area is considered to be the straight line between the departure and arrival.
