Land/Air offers you several methods of opening a map. Some of these methods (Seek best map here, See list of maps for this point and Download internet map for this area) take into account the area where you are currently working to guide you when you want to open a map. Other methods (open map, open index map and open map from an internet URL) open a new map in spite of whatever you may currently have loaded.
An easy and convenient way to open a map is to do it from its frame; to make the frameworks of the maps available on your computer screen you should have this option activated.
